For a true seal the best set up is two gapless rings in separate grooves.
Do ceramic turbos need oil.
Well worth the money trust me.
In this video i talk about ceramic bearings and do they need lubrication which is kinda what the title says funny that.
This means that they need a constant flow of quality engine oil to lubricate the compression valve and intake and outlet fans to reduce wear and help them perform at their best.
The ruby sapphire would be more resistant to impact and are also another 5 times harder than ceramic.
Ball bearing turbo cores have a restrictor in the oil inlet.
August 5 2013 turbocharged engines will require more frequent maintenance such as oil changes and fresh spark plugs though they typically don t require additional service.
Thanks to all my patreon subs.
This will seal very well.
There is a down side though.
A lot of those cars run 6 bar of oil pressure low turbos and sump pumps.
By the time you notice its leaking there is not much hope for a cheap rebuild.
Turbo systems are made up of moving parts which spin at incredibly high speeds and work under intense heat and pressure.
Because they elimintate the oil they also eliminate the parisitic drag that goes with it oil cook and are more durable.
Full ball bearing turbos do not need oil thats the whole point they use cermaic bearings instead of oil.
